The Board expresses its great sadness at the news of the death of Martin Ballinger, the former Group Chief Executive of the Go-Ahead Group until his retirement at the end of December 2004.
The Board acknowledges the extraordinary contribution that Martin made to the Go-Ahead Group plc as one of its founding fathers and to the UK public transport industry.
Martin had been seriously ill for some months and passed away peacefully this morning.
The Board extends its deepest sympathy and condolences to Martin's family.
