The Go-Ahead Group plc (“Go-Ahead”) is pleased to
confirm that it has completed the acquisition of Plymouth CityBus
(“PCB”) from Plymouth City Council
(“PCC”).
This follows the announcement on 23 November that Go-Ahead had
offered to acquire for cash 100% of the share capital of PCB from
PCC for an enterprise value of £20m.
Keith Ludeman, Group Chief Executive of Go-Ahead, said: "We are
delighted the full council voted in favour of the sale of Plymouth
CityBus to Go-Ahead. The transaction process with Plymouth City
Council has gone very well and we now look forward to working with
Plymouth CityBus and other local stakeholders.”

Plymouth CityBus (PCB)
PCB operates a high quality fleet of 173 buses and 11 coaches
from a large freehold depot in the centre of Plymouth, carrying
around 14 million passengers each year across a wide network in and
around the City. For the financial year ended 31 March 2009, the
revenue for PCB was £17.6m and underlying earnings before
interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) was
£2.5m.
