Go-Ahead wins Gold at Britain’s Most Admired Companies Awards 2025

The Go-Ahead Group has been named Britain’s Most Admired Company in the Transport sector, taking home the Gold award at today’s ceremony at the London Stock Exchange.

This achievement marks a significant step forward for the Group, following last year’s success when Go-Ahead earned silver in the overall rankings and bronze for reducing global environmental impact. For 2025, Go-Ahead not only reached the top spot, but did so as the only public transport company to be nominated—and to win.

Now in its 36th year, the Britain’s Most Admired Companies (BMAC) study is one of the UK’s longest running and most respected measures of corporate reputation. The awards celebrate outstanding organisational performance across 28 industry sectors, judged against 13 reputational criteria including quality of management, environmental responsibility, and capacity to innovate.

The Gold Award reflects the hard work, professionalism, and commitment of Go-Ahead colleagues across the Group.

Patrick Verwer, Chief Executive Officer – Rail, who collected the award commented: “This recognition is a testament to the dedication of our people, it reflects the incredible work colleagues do every day, living our values—caring for customers, supporting each other, serving communities, caring for our assets and reducing our impact on the environment. We are extremely proud of this achievement.”

Congratulations to all Go-Ahead colleagues for making this outstanding accomplishment possible.
