We provide 30% of all passenger journeys in the UK across our two operating companies: Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR) and Southeastern.

The UK rail market is respected across the world and considered the safest railway network in Europe. We strive to deliver a safe, reliable and pleasant service to millions of commuter, leisure and business travellers.

The Southeastern franchise covers the south east of England and includes the UK's first high-speed domestic rail service.

We won the Southeastern franchise in 2006 and have operated HS1 since December 2009.

The network covers major London terminals, such as London Victoria, Waterloo East, London Bridge and Charing Cross. The network extends through Kent, parts of East Sussex and south east London.

Passenger journeys in London and the south east of England have increased by 3.1% in the past five years. In the last year, Southeastern have added 5,000 more seats in the morning peak.

Southeastern is continuing its focus on delivering a range of customer experience improvements, including exploring options to boost capacity. There have been significant improvements and investments to improve station facilities, upgrade passenger information systems and move to smart ticketing technology.
